Annual Fourth of July Parade

If you’re worried you won’t be able to experience a Fourth of July parade, don’t be! The Anna Maria Island Privateers hold an annual Fourth of July parade and celebration for your family to enjoy. This free event starts at Coquina Beach at 10 a.m. and travels north to the City Pier Park in Anna Maria. You are encouraged to grab as much candy as you can and follow the parade to the end, where there will be even more celebration after the parade is through!

Firework Shows

Of course, you have to experience a firework show or two while you’re in town! Anna Maria and the surrounding cities are well known for having some of the best fireworks displays on the Florida coast. Pier 22 Restaurant, located in Bradenton, hosts a special Fourth of July dinner consisting of a special pig roast and buffet. Afterward, stick around for the incredible fireworks display that you can watch from the riverside deck.

One of the most popular Fourth of July firework displays takes place at The Sandbar Restaurant, located in the city of Anna Maria. This event has been held for more than 30 years and is an incredible opportunity to celebrate America’s birthday. The event happens at the outdoor wedding pavilion at dusk. While no seat is a bad seat, you can purchase a VIP party package that gives you exclusive seating!

When you’re on Anna Maria Island for the 4th of July, you’ll have plenty of time to take advantage of all the sights of the shore. Spend time with your family on Manatee Public Beach, or take your sweetheart to Bean Point Beach for some picturesque sunset views. Then head to the Anna Maria Island Historical Society for the history buff in your group. No matter what activities you’re interested in, you can easily reach them all things to the free island trolley. The trolley will even take you onto the mainland for a small fee so that you can explore Sarasota and the nearby areas.
