Enjoy the Parade
The St. Patrick’s Day parade is an early morning staple! Who doesn’t love to grab a seat along the main stretch and watch as floats and marching bands play music and entertain you as they march down the street? Anna Maria Island has two amazing parades you can take part in!
The Beach Bistro sponsors a St. Patrick’s Day parade right near their restaurant! Located in Holmes Beach, The Beach Bistro has a parade perfect for guests of all ages. This hour-long parade heads down Gulf Drive and allows people to join in on the celebration. If you want a proper celebration, you can join the party down at The Doctor’s Office with The Beach Bistro. There they have live music, classic Irish food, and Irish-themed drinks. If you want to be a member or a part of the parade, make sure to meet at 2-4 p.m. on Gulf Drive to become a part of the parade. The parade starts at 4 p.m. and will end at roughly 5 p.m. This event at The Doctor’s Office is 21 and older.
Another amazing St. Patrick’s Day parade on Anna Maria Island is the New World Celts in Sarasota. The parade starts at Eat Here near Marina Drive and Gulf Drive. The New World Celts organization was founded to help promote the awareness of a great culture. They aim to help people learn about the contributions and history of Celtic people. The New World Celts, Sarasota parade starts at around 2 p.m., where everyone can begin gathering for the parade to start. At 4 p.m. from the Holmes Beach City Hall, the parade marches down Marina Drive. It will follow down Palm Drive and end at 78th and Palm Drive. This gives you plenty of amazing spots to watch the marching bands, floats, and more!
