Fall

Fall in Anna Maria Island is one of our favorite seasons. For the months of September, October, and November, low temperatures stay in the 70s while high temperatures stay in the 80s.

The mornings and evenings bring a nice cool reprieve, but the warm weather midday still allows you to experience the best outdoor activities and watersports.

As far as rain, you might experience a shower or two if you vacation during September, since the average daily chance of precipitation is around 40%. If you visit in October or November, though, that chance drastically drops to around 15%.

Winter

Many people love spending winter in Anna Maria Island to take part in the wonderful holiday celebrations on our shores. If you visit during the winter months of December, January, and February, expect low temperatures in the 60s and high temperatures in the 70s. January is the coldest month of the year here, so you’ll want to bring some long sleeve shirts, but the weather is still preferable to many areas of the U.S. during this season.

Luckily, winter is considered the dry season for Anna Maria Island. Throughout the entire season, the daily chance of precipitation is only around 20%, so it’s not likely that a midday shower will ruin any of your plans.

Summer

Finally, summer in Anna Maria Island is the hottest time of year, as you would probably expect. The months of June, July, and August see average low temperatures in the 70s and high temperatures in the 80s, the perfect weather for a day on one of Anna Maria Island’s best beaches. Luckily, these numbers are still preferable to the hot temperatures throughout much of mainland Florida.

One good thing about the summer in Anna Maria Island is that it’s considered the wet season.  Summer days see an average rain chance of 60% to 70%, often coming in the form of an afternoon shower. We say this is a good thing because this quick rainstorm brings in a much cooler evening and gives you an opportunity to either relax in your rental or explore the indoor activities of Anna Maria Island.
