Shell Cove 9 delivers what beachfront really means — step out your door and you're on the sand. This upper-level condo sits directly on Bradenton Beach with unobstructed Gulf views from the private balcony. No roads to cross, no boardwalks to navigate. Just the beach, the water, and miles of sand stretching in both directions.

The balcony is where the days begin and end. Large enough for outdoor furniture and dining, it's where dolphins appear at sunrise and sunsets arrive every evening. The second-floor position gives better views and more privacy than the ground-level units without the elevator wait of a high-rise.

Two bedrooms sleep six. The master has a queen bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds. The living room sleeper sofa handles the remaining guests. One full bathroom with tub and shower combination. Flat-screen TVs in both bedrooms and the living room. The kitchen has granite countertops, stovetop cooking, microwave, and dishwasher — no full oven, worth knowing for guests who plan to bake. In-unit washer and dryer.

Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and a cooler are stored in the unit — walk to the sand in seconds with everything already provided.

The free island trolley stops nearby.

Please note: this is an upper-level unit accessed by stairs only — there is no elevator.

Easy Access to Beach

"This is a great place to stay if you want a peaceful, relaxing, vacation on the beach. The unit was very clean and spacious enough for the four of us. We loved having the beach right outside our door. It was so much nicer than our stays at high rise condos where you have to wait for an elevator, then carry all your beach gear through a lobby and pool area, and then across a boearwak to get to the beach.

Shell Cove is a Slice of Paradise

"Located right on the white sand beaches of Bradenton Beach, a picturesque setting with a great balcony to watch the sunsets. The unit was clean with a beach theme feel that immerses you into the island life from the moment you step foot in the front door. Offers beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels, with a washer and dryer, making it easy for those traveling by air. Tide Tables is the best place to eat fresh caught grouper. Other dining favorites are the Waterfront Restaurant on AMI, Euphemia Haye on Long Boat Key, the Columbia in Sarasota and Skinnys by Holmes beach for a good burger. The unit is a great location, in walking distance to the Kokonut Hut (aka Gulf Drive Cafe) which we enjoyed breakfast on the beach, the Beachhouse best for apps and cocktails, and the Wicked Cantina for Mexican food when you need a break from seafood. We were the first rental in January 2025 post hurricanes Helene and Milton and the owner worked really hard to have it ready for our stay in January 2025. We are thankful for their efforts.

"We were able to stay here because the house we were renting had a couple issues. Steps from the beach with a view. I was a little cramped for 2 adults with 2 older kids but we made due. Very nice overall, but wish it had an actual oven. Will definitely stay again.

"We loved this condo, it was perfect for our family of 4. It was clean, had everything we needed for the beach & to stay in a few nights & cook dinner. The location was second to none! Right on a very family friendly beach, wasn’t overly crowded, even during spring break. It is within walking distance (1mile or so) to several restaurants, miniature golf, & shops if you don’t want to take the trolley. We enjoy walking while we are vacationing, so this was perfect for us. 10 out of 10, we will definitely look to return to this condo for future vacations.

As wonderful as the first time

"This is our second time to stay in Shell Cove Unit 9 and it was as wonderful as the first time! Shell Cove 9 is in a perfect location (literally on Bradenton Beach) The view of the gulf and sunset from this upstairs unit are spectacular! The unit is very clean, nicely decorated, and is supplied with all the kitchen items you may need. And you don’t need to worry about packing beach towels, chairs or umbrellas…the owners have them in the units for you to use. Location is fantastic. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Although the weather could have been a bit better, our stay was so relaxing and comfortable. We will be back!

Shell Cove #9 was FANTASTIC!

"This was our 4th visit to AMI but our 1st time staying at Shell Cove 9. We had booked a different condo but in October we received a call from Amy T. with Vacation Properties and the condo (1 bdrm / 1 bath) we had reserved was being renovated and was not going to be completed by our stay. Before calling Amy had already found 2 other condos for us to choose from with Shell Cove being one of them. Both were 2 bdrm / 1 bath and was close to what we were paying for our 1st condo. That meant a lot. If you don't mind climbing some stairs, the second-floor unit is very comfortable, clean and I was very impressed with the décor! The view is incredible, was constructed with a wide shared balcony, just steps from the beach and the 2nd floor offers more privacy without people walking back and forth in front of your rooms. The outdoor table and chairs outside our room were comfortable and large and was a perfect spot to eat meals or read a book. Although the weather wasn’t the best; we had a couple beautiful sunsets. You just can't beat the location, within walking distance to a couple restaurants, a close drive to Publix and more restaurants. The kitchen was good and had everything we needed (no stove). Since having a washer and dryer in the unit it allowed us to pack lightly. Island Vacations properties were wonderful to work with!! We are getting ready now to book our next vacation!

Perfect vacation

"Location, location, location! Directly on a beautiful beach, restaurants and Publix close by, clean and well stocked condo. Washer and dryer in unit allowed me to pack lightly. Our umbrella was broken and we only had one proper beach chair. I texted management and within an hour maintenance delivered new chairs and umbrella to our door. Now that's great customer service! We spent a lot of time on the balcony, perfect spot to eat meals and read a book. Beautiful sunsets. Really the only complaint is the big speaker someone had on the beach our last day, ethnic music was blasting all day and until 9pm. They were not staying at Shell Cove. All guests we came in contact with here were friendly and polite. We definitely hope to come back again.

"It was just what we needed, and would have been happy to stay a second week. The beach is steps away; sunsets every night. The location was close to many restaurants. Only two criticisms. The iron was broken and there is no oven. Knowing that, I would stay there again. The dishes and pots and pans were in good condition. We do cook, so appreciated that.

"We had a wonderful stay at Shell Cove. Not a single complaint. The apartment was clean, the beds were decent, and it is right on the beach! For the price and location... it was perfect! We’d stay again in a heartbeat. I called Island Vacation Rentals 3 times while on AMI, once to check in early, they said yes. Another for more beach chairs, and got them with no issue, and finally to store our luggage for a few hours, and they were gracious every single time. I would 1000% recommend!

Shell Cove #9 is gorgeous and comfortable!

"We normally stay in Shell Cove #8 but it was rented for the week we wanted and luckily, we found #9 online. We were very impressed by the furnishings, decor and amenities that some beach front condos don't have. The outdoor table and chairs are comfortable and large, the living couch and TV welcoming and handy, we had everything we needed in the kitchen and the bedroom and main bed was super comfortable with great linens. Our only critiques would be the bathroom sink faucet lacked pressure, the beach umbrellas and chairs provided were either broken or very rickety and the frig is very small, which was fine for just 2 people but I can imagine a family staying might run out of room quickly. You just can't beat the location and the view, just steps from the beach and the 2nd floor offers more privacy without people walking back and forth in front of your door to and from the beach. You can just kick back, grab your glass of wine and have a front row seat to the sunset every night! The property managers were very easy to work with and loved the app to access information, even though it didn't properly update us when the key box on the door broke and we had to drive to the office to pick up the key. All in all though, we would highly recommend this property!

"Our unit was perfectly furnished with everything we would ever need. I did have to ask for an umbrella though as there wasn’t one in the room. And the keyless door entry did not work with my code. The view was to die for; couldn’t have gotten much better. I would book again.

"I was very impressed with the decor at this 2-bedroom condo. Great that my one visitor had her own cute bedroom. My neighbor was jealous of my accommodations compared to hers. "The whole process was exceptional. I scheduled a very last minute trip and the rental company was so accommodating to my needs. I ended up with a very nice, clean oceanfront condo that fit our family perfectly. when we had one minor issue they were there within 10 minutes to get it fixed. Bad experience

"It wasn’t a good experience at all just because the Shall cove #9 (very expensive but the Door lock broken we go out with no garantie to open the door again, I’m the only one go can open it for my family. The toilet broken, No Oven in the kitchen,

Great beach trip

"Our condo was really nice. The only issue we had was the WiFi went out a couple of days in. I did report the issue to the rental office but we had just a day and a half left on vacation.

Simply Paradise

"My daughter and I absolutely loved our stay at Shell Cove! It was small, which we REALLY loved. There was a really good little ice cream shop (Small Town Creamery) that we visited twice and adored. Longboat and Siesta Keys were a very short drive away and were beautiful places to see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come again next year!

Shell Cove 9 was Just Fine

"This was our first venture to Florida staying at a condo, so we did not know what to expect. The accommodations were very good. We did have some issues which we addressed to the rental agent, the main one was that the dryer in the facility was not operational and was not repaired during our two week stay, we were told they were waiting for a part on order for the repair. It was also brought to the attention of the rental agent, that some of the dishes that were stored in the closets were not clean and the dishes and other amenities were very spartan. A representative from the rental agency stopped by to see us and presented us with a gift card to a local restaurant due to the inconvenience of not being able to utilize the automatic washer and dryer. There was another issue with the drain in the bathroom sink as it was not operational in opening and closing. in spite of this we had a wonderful time.

"My daughter and I stayed at Shell cove 9 from Oct. 2 through Oct. 5. We absolutely love the condo, the location, the beach, everything! We had seen Shell Cove many times on our visits to Ann Maria, and finally got to stay here. It has easily made it's way to the top of our list of places we've stayed. Very clean condo, well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels. WE found the beds super comfy. Loved the huge, smart tvs in every room. The view...what an amazing view!! The sunsets were priceless. There is one flight of stairs, so people that have issues need to know about those. But I wouldn't have traded that view for the first floor.

Fantastic Beachfront Condo

"We had a great experience working with Island Vacation Properties. We ran into a problem with the washer/dryer not working and a previous issue with them that hadn't been disclosed when we made the reservation (hence the reason for the 3 stars related to property condition), but maintenance stayed in contact with us during our vacation and is working to compensate us for the inconvenience. We sincerely appreciate the customer service and follow-through. Aside from this, the unit is great and you couldn't ask for a better location. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
