One block from the Gulf in Holmes Beach — a very short walk to the beach, and guests who find SS Salamander South come back year after year. One guest has made more than ten trips to Anna Maria Island and calls this their go-to. That kind of loyalty doesn't happen by accident.

The backyard is the shared centerpiece. A heated pool sits within lush tropical landscaping alongside a gas grill and outdoor seating — the setup for evenings that naturally extend well past sunset. An outdoor shower handles the post-beach rinse. Large front deck for the family to gather.

Two bedrooms sleep five. The primary bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a full bed and a twin bed. Two full bathrooms — the key practical advantage over the north unit for groups where everyone wants their own bathroom access. The living room has a 55" smart TV with streaming. The kitchen is fully stocked for home-cooked meals. Shared full-size washer and dryer on the property. Parking for 2 vehicles.

Local bars, restaurants, ice cream shops, boutiques, and the free AMI trolley are all within easy walking distance.

SS Salamander South requires a one-week minimum stay. No pets.

*Final payments are due 60 days prior to arrival payable by personal check or Echeck (which will incur a $1.00 processing fee) we do take
credit cards for final payment with a 3% fee on the balance due

You are vacationing in a residential area, please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property. Quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 7 AM.

Amazing 4th row beach rental

"Wow! What a find. 4th row beach house on Holmes Beach. Located right at 50th Street access which at one end is beach access and other is a trolley stop. Backyard oasis with pool, fireplace, plenty of tables, hammock and outdoor shower. The house was clean and extremely well stocked with kitchen gear including fun drinking glasses and plastic Tupperware perfect for bringing snacks to the beach. We rented both sides. The deck with comfy chairs was perfect for socializing between the two houses. Shared laundry room in separate locked bottom area. This was roomy and contained backpack beach chairs, 1 umbrella, a cooler and 1 beach cart to split between the 2 houses. Not to mention many pool floats and pool/beach toys. Beach towels were also provided. We did have an issue with the pool heater not working due to power outage. Tram was very responsive and got it solved by end of business next day. We also had a cold front and heat was not turning on. They had technician out to fix within an hour! . South side had 2 showers and North only had 1. Overall 9 people including 2 kids fit well at the house. Nice bonus fridge in shared laundry room. We had a great time! Definitely hope to be back!

Great Location and Great Pool

" One can easily walk from this unit to five nearby restaurants as well as three wonderful coffee shops. One can also walk to the beach restaurant at Manatee Beach. The beach is one block away .The unit was well-stocked. The pool was wonderful. The entire backyard is well done. The area is quiet. We will happily stay here again in the future

January get away

"We enjoyed our stay at SS Salamander. The unit was as advertised. It was clean, had everything we needed, was about three blocks from the beach, and maybe five blocks from the trolley pickup. The staff at Island Properties was easy to work with through the whole rental process. We had a tv issue when we checked and and called the office. They put us on the maintenance schedule where the person who was coming texted us to tell use when he would be there. All around good experience.

SS Salamander S spring break 2023

"Had a wonderful time saying over spring break. Great location. You can't beat 175 steps to the entrance to the beach. Pool area is great for when the gulf was a little chilly. The unit itself was clean and adequately stocked. Could use more than one extra roll of TP. There were some general maintenance issues that need attention, but would not stop from staying again.

One of the best locations in Holmes Beach

"We really liked this location, quiet and very little traffic. Easy access to beach was a plus. Even though we had a few glitches the rental management were took care of everything right away. The property owners need to address a few worn out cushions on the deck. I highly recommend Island Vacation Properties.

Great location, well maintained home with everything you need

"We (family of 3) had a lovely stay here. The home is older, but well maintained with comfortable furnishings, bedding, and basic kitchen supplies. We loved the heated pool, grill and nicely landscaped back yard, and front deck. The house is on a quiet street, walking distance from several restaurants, and just a few steps from the beach.

"The SS Salamander South was a well maintained and recently updated unit with a great location. Quick access to the beach, shops, and a few dinner spots. Pool and landscaping was well kept, quiet, and peaceful. Would recommend this location to any of our family/friends visiting the area and will considering staying again in the future.

"This property was in a great location. We were pleasantly surprised that the pool was larger than it looked in the photos. The property was clean and had everything we needed. The management company was easy to work with and more pleasant then others that I have used in the past. The only downsides to this rental were: no ceiling fans in the bedrooms, could not find a remote for the cable tv, and a couple light bulbs were burnt out.

Great Quiet Stay, Close to the Beach

"The property was exactly as described, perhaps even better then expected. While this is one unit of a two unit location, the units don't even share a wall so you can't hear anything from the other unit. The beach is barely a block and a half away, a very easy walk, and the pool area makes for a relaxing, secluded spot when you don't want to walk. It is the perfect size for a couple or a small family looking for a great beach location.

"as before, we love the location and the pool, however the unit could use some updating. bathroom is dark and dreary. washer and dryer need to be replaced.Unit has all the supplies and amenities we need.we also had good customer service when we called.
