Welcome to the SS Salamander located at 121 50th Street in Holmes Beach. This duplex is just a one block stroll down a side street to the beautiful white, sandy beaches. It's located in a quiet and preferred residential neighborhood yet it's easily within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. A great combination of tranquility and convenience!

The SS Salamander has a beautiful 17' x 36' heated pool surrounded by beautiful landscaping and lots of comfortable pool furniture. This Holmes Beach vacation getaway also has a large covered deck which is a perfect spot to relax after a day at the beach. There is gas grill and an outside shower for your use. A "shared" laundry room with a new full size washer and dryer is onsite for your use as well. Each unit also features undercover, off street parking.

The SS Salamander North unit features a 55" flat screen television in the living room. The main bedroom has a 14" television. This unit sleeps five with a queen size bed, one full and one twin bed.

The SS Salamander South unit features a 55" television in the living room and a 19" television in the bedroom. This unit sleeps five with a queen size bed, one full and one twin bed.

The spacious living areas and kitchens make this a perfect spot for family reunions.

The SS Salamander is a one week minimum rental
Not a pet friendly rental

Parking is limited to four vehicles.

"SS Salamander is a fantastic home and a wonderful location. Perfectly placed in the middle of the island. Free trolly stops one block away and easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. 60 yards from the beach entrance. Will stay here again

Amazing location for a family vacation!!

"The rental company went above and beyond to help make our vacation wonderful!! Unfortunately our plane was cancelled and they couldn't get us all on another flight for two days! Amy was amazing, picked up my box I had sent down and even picked up our groceries at Publix for us so when we finally got to the house at 7p.m after leaving Maine at 7 a.m we had FOOD!! 9 very hungry people!! Place was great! Location was great! Pool was great! Thank you all very much, JenPen.

Just what we were looking for !

"We are a party of 8 (4 couples) who like to get away fall for some sun and relaxation. We have stayed at a few places right on the beach and paid a much higher rate. This property is literally less than a 5-minute walk from the house to the sand between your toes. The accommodations were very nice and there was plenty of room for the 8 of us. There is a large deck out front where you can have your morning coffee, a meal or read a book. The neighborhood is very quiet and there's no street parking which means the beach is never crowded. The back yard is an oasis in itself. It has lots of places to relax whether it's on a lounge chair poolside or at 1 of the tables. There is a large grill, firepit and outdoor shower. If your looking for a quiet place with beautiful beaches and some nice places to dine out and shop, this is it. Some of the restaurants we liked were The Waterfront Restaurant (we went twice), The Ugly Grouper ( a fun place with good food), The Beach House Waterfront Restaurant). We picked up pizza at Pizza Social and also sandwiches at Scotts Deli (really good). Scotts Deli also delivered to us right on the beach on day. Everyone Had a great time and said they would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great house, great location

"Overall we could not have been happier with this rental. From the location, to the pool and cleanliness of the home it was truly a great vacation. The heater pool kept the kids busy and provided a nice break from the beach that was a three minute walk from the house. Being that close to the beach allowed for a quick and easy walk back to the house if you forgot something or needed to go to the bathroom. We highly recommend this property and would definitely be coming back.

Great location and awesome backyard

"We had a great time. The units were entirely functional. They could use some updates inside, but for a beach house they were just fine and we didn't miss anything. The backyard was the feature with a large heated pool, grill, and gas firepit. The laundry room downstairs also had another fridge and plenty of beach goodies. We'd book it again.

Wonderful quiet stay

"We rented both units. The location to the beach was fantastic. Less than 5 minutes from door to beach chair! The pool was very nice and large enough for the six of us. The furniture was a little old/outdated. There was plenty of outdoor seating whether it was by the pool, on the deck, or the crows nest. Loved being able to park under the deck. It kept the car cool on the hot days and dry on the rainy days. The house is located in the middle-ish of the island. Holmes Beach has very soft sand compared to other parts of the island. They had plenty of floats and beach wagon to borrow. Liked the idea of the fridge downstairs in laundry room. Could store drinks for pool and beach. The pool and proximity to the beach were best parts.

Perfect relaxing beach vacation

"This house was in a perfect location. Just a block from the beach with ton of stores in walking distance. The house had all the amenities that we needed and the most wonderful pool! Loved being able to hit the beach and return back to house for a break without worrying about parking or traffic. The outside porches made wonderful morning coffee spot. This is really in the best location! We will definitely be returning!

Fantastic Facility

"We loved staying at the Salamander. It was perfect for our family reunion. Short walk to the beach and a refreshing pool in the backyard. There were plenty of pool and beach toys provided, as well as a cart to wheel chairs and stuff to the beach. The gas grill was great for burgers in the backyard.

Perfect for a Family Reunion

"We had the best time together at the Salamander. We had 11 in our group. We rented both sides to accommodate our family. The kitchen on the North side felt larger so the meals were all done on that side. The short one block walk to the beach was easy. The backyard pool was wonderful. Beautifully landscaped and peaceful. The grandkids loved the pool more than digging in the sand on the beach. We were comfortable with these two duplexes and would definitely rent it again.

Small Units - Cottage Feel - BOOK FOR THE LOCATION!!!!!

"SUPER GREAT location. Great Pool size - 9 in our group. Property does need maintenance:rising nails in deck, sliding door (North unit) almost impossible to open, bad leak between awning and door (South unit), both units need more food/staples storage if you utilize the kitchen and not go out every night! Stocked very well w/food prep, tableware, etc. However, small refrig. in each unit. We were there last week of June 2020 and did most of our eating in. Would stay there again w/some updates/repairs.
