There's a moment when you step off the patio at Four Beach Lovers Unit 2 and realize you're already there. Not a short walk. Not beach access through a parking lot. The Gulf of Mexico is right in front of you — white sand, turquoise water, and nothing between you and the horizon.

Unit 2 faces southwest, directly on the Gulf. Sunsets happen in front of you every evening. Dolphins appear most mornings. The beach here is quiet and uncrowded — the kind of stretch where you can find shells, take a long walk, and not feel like you're sharing it with the entire island.

The 2025 renovation rebuilt everything. Solar powered. New kitchen with full-size appliances, dishwasher, and a wine fridge for chilling something cold before the sun goes down. New bathroom with a walk-in shower and modern fixtures. All new furnishings, linens, and smart TVs in the bedroom and living room. It feels brand new — because it is.

The king bedroom is a quiet retreat at the end of a beach day. The living room sofa sleeper handles two more guests comfortably, sleeping four in total. Fast 1-gig WiFi and a full cable package are included — equally useful for remote workers and families on a rainy afternoon.

The patio is where the day begins and ends. Beach chairs are stored in the shed — grab them and you're on the sand in thirty seconds. Charcoal grills are available onsite when the cookout instinct hits. There is no better seat on Anna Maria Island for sunset than your own patio chair with the Gulf directly in front of you.

The tropical landscaping, gazebo with fountain, and old-fashioned porch swings make the grounds feel like a small private resort rather than a rental complex. A shared laundry room is available onsite for all guests.

Holmes Beach is the quieter, more local part of Anna Maria Island. Publix is a couple of blocks away. Walgreens and a small shopping center are nearby. The free island trolley stops close by — explore the full seven miles of AMI without moving your car once you've parked.

Guests who find Four Beach Lovers tend to come back. Some for four years. Some for twelve. The location is the reason. The 2025 renovation — and the solar infrastructure behind it — is the reason to come back now.

Four Beach Lovers Unit 2 requires a one-week minimum stay and includes parking for one car. This property is not pet-friendly.

Noise Ordinance: You are vacationing in a residential area, the quiet hours are 10 PM-7 AM. Please be a good neighbor by keeping the noise to a respectful level during the day and night. Excessive and unreasonable noise can deprive neighbors of the peaceful enjoyment of their private property.

*Final payments are due 60 days prior to arrival payable by personal check or Echeck (which will incur a $1.00 processing fee) we do take
credit cards for final payment with a 3% fee on the balance due.

Wonderful Week

"We had a wonderful week at Four Beach Lovers 2 in Holmes Beach! The property is just as pictured and described. It is very comfortable, and the views from the living room and deck are so beautiful and relaxing. The sunsets are also spectacular! The location is great and very convenient.

The rental management staff was very responsive when we had a couple of questions before and during the stay.

We definitely recommend this property and will be booking again.

There is nothing like walking out your door and you are on the beach. Once you've experienced this, you'll never settle for "close walking distance" again. Accommodations were like new and very comfortable. You are also close to local shopping.

"This was our first visit at this beach cottage and it is hard to beat! The interior has been completely remodeled since the last hurricane. The most important thing for us is being on the beach. You literally open the door and you’re there. You are also very close to stores like Publix, Walgreens & local eateries. If you’re a Beach Lover, this location is perfect! Thank you!

"Directly on the beach, a quiet part of the beach too! Very clean property, everything was new. Great communication with management. Easy check in/out. Right next to Publix, the best creperie and a yummy little Mexican restaurant, and trolly stop. No car needed.

Changes

"Having spent part of the winter months the last 17 years at Four Beach lovers 2 on Anna Maria Island I have witnessed many changes. In ownership, Management, beach replenishment, neighbors come and gone but the biggest change occurred with the devastation caused by hurricanes Helene and Milton to Four Beach lovers, as well as to the entire much so, I thought my wife and I would no longer be able to escape to our happy place again. Thankfully, with the owner's commitment and determination to rebuild what was, we were able to return once more this year, albeit with changes.
The interior of the unit was completely gutted and restored with all new walls, floors, fixtures, furnishings, kitchen cabinets, counter tops and appliances. All tastefully done. But the one change that caused me apprehension was the front deck.
Whereas in the past there was a large covered deck that accommodated group gathering is now a truncated deck open to the sky due to code restrictions and permitting.
But to my surprise I found that I enjoyed the open sky and the expanse of the beach and Gulf from the deck, as well as from the interior of the unit, especially at sunset. It's my understanding that a permit has finally been approved to extend and cover the deck and reconstruction will take place sometime this Summer. More changes.
The one constant though are all the wonderful people who manage, maintain and clean Four Beach Lovers and make it a joy to return year after year. I hope that never changes.

"We arrived at Four Beach Lovers 2 and found almost all of our troubles with our former unit to have been addressed. Only the lack of front windows that open remains untended to. With great comfort in our unit and gorgeous beach out the door, we barely left in our two week stay. Why go anywhere else?

"Having had the good fortune of staying at this unique property for the past 14 years I can honestly say it is by far one of the best places on AMI,if not the best,to take off your flip-flops and step in the sand.
Although the property description and pictures are accurate they cannot convey all the intangibles, especially all the people that make it that much more special. From the moment you book until the sad day you say goodbye you will be in the hands of exceptional people who care. They've become friends and in some cases like extended family.
Susan and Amy, Bill and Sarah, Ken and Jason as well as Amy and Leah at Island Vacation Properties and Hans and Birgit who are the heart and soul of Four Beach Lovers.
If you are lucky enough to be able to spend some time here I am sure you will agree and will come away with a memories to last a lifetime.

"Our stay at the Beach Lovers 2 cottage was overall great. Waking up each morning to the most amazing view of the beach just a few steps away was everything we wanted. The place is a 4plex & we were fortunate to be in one of the front rentals. The place is small yet all we needed for 2 was clean and well stocked. The washer & dryer is shared by all 4 rentals & is a walk around the side of the complex. Great location, convenient to everything.

Personal Piece of Paradise

"My wife and I have had the good fortune to be able to have spent the last ten years of our winter vacation at the same location so have experienced it under its previous ownership and management as well as the current. We have not been disappointed with either in all that time, and in fact makes what already is a picture place to be in that more pleasurable knowing you have no worries other than the weather.
Unit two is situated on the northwest corner beachside and gives the illusion, while sitting on the deck, of being ensconsed in your own private world while listening to the sound of the surf and the sight of dolphins, herons, pelicans and gulls roll by and the sand literally a step away.
The units are all one bedroom one, bath with fully stocked kitchens for meal prep and towels and bed linens provided are clean. If for any reason something is broken or missing a phone call or email to Island Vacation Properties gets a quick response and resolution.
The property and location speaks for itself but it's also the people who represent and maintain it that make it so much more. Thanks Susan & Amy; Hans & Birgit; Coleen and all the staff for all you do to make our stay so special.
