Bradenton Beach

Area Information

The City of Bradenton Beach is located at the southernmost end of Anna Maria Island. While Bradenton Beach is by far the narrowest part of the island and at times is less than one block wide, the activities and action of this vibrant city are boundless. Many restaurants and shops await you.

Coquina Beach at the very south end of Bradenton Beach is a wide, tree lined public facility featuring numerous picnic tables, outside showers and public restrooms. White sandy beaches and emerald green waters lure beachcombers to spend the day in the sun. Just across from Coquina Beach is Leffis Key, a largely undiscovered nature trail with almost ½ mile of boardwalks meandering through a nature preserve. It’s a designation for many bird watching groups.

There are three additional parks in Bradenton Beach. The Katie Pierola Sunset Park; the Herb Dolan Park on 26th Street North and Avenue A and the Lou Barolo Park on Highland Avenue and 4th Street South.

Many fishing piers and marinas can be found in Bradenton Beach. If you want to rent a boat during your stay, stop by the Bradenton Beach Marina. They have whatever type of boat you need. At the end of Bridge Street, you’ll find the Bradenton Beach City Pier which is historically the end of the original bridge coming onto the island. Boat ramps can be located at Bay Side Park at the southern tip of the city.

The Tingley Library is located on 2nd Street North in Bradenton Beach.

Restaurants abound in Bradenton Beach. If you’re hungry for a pizza, a burger or a romantic upscale dinner on the beach, it’s easily found!

At the south end of Bradenton Beach you’ll find the bridge to Longboat Key, our neighboring island to the south. The bridge offers easy access to Sarasota, Lido Key, Sand Key and St. Armand’s circle.

Reminiscent of days gone by, Bradenton Beach features many quaint shops and galleries, featuring the work of local artists. Many festivals, farmer’s markets and art shows take place on Bridge Street on a regular basis. It’s peaceful, it’s quaint; it’s a way of life!
